Books & Stories

This “parent page” is under construction. It will include “child pages” directing readers to separate page links. One planned page link will be “Books” containing a running portfolio of posts on suggestions and observations on books I have read from my own discoveries or recommendations by others.

Another planned page link will be “Short Stories” containing a running portfolio of some short stories for young hearts. The first ones to be available were written by my sister Rachel back in the days before personal computers, when writers used typewriters to produce an original and two carbon copies for submission to publishing houses. Despite numerous invitations to several children’s book editors, Rachel’s manuscripts were never accepted. My sister died in April 2020, leaving her unpublished manuscripts from 40 to nearly 50 years ago. When I received these aged, precious, hand-typed copies from her belongings, I went to work to edit them in a publishable format. My family was the first beneficiary of my work to showcase the beauty of her labors in her memory. Now, a year later, I want others to enjoy them here.

Until I can get the sub page to show up under the “Books & Stories” page, here is the link to “Stories”
