Jesus Resurrection

The Resurrection – Ron DiCianni  edited image courtesy http://www.christcenteredmall.com/stores/art/dicianni/the-resurrection.htm

In a garden long ago, Adam and Eve gave away their life to the power of Satan and to a sinful desire to have their own world…

In the fullness of time, Jesus laid down His life on the cross and was laid in a tomb in a garden on the first day of the Passover festival; His death and burial marked the beginning of seven days of the season of Unleavened Bread. He took up His life again on the third day of the days of Passover/ Unleavened Bread. According to Exodus 13 this third day is the Day of Remembrance of the Firstborn of Israel saved by God from death in Egypt…

The Resurrection of Jesus was more than coming back to life. The Resurrection of Jesus was the sign of His power to take up the glory He laid down to overcome the world, the power of Satan, and the despair of death and hell…

The Spirit of the LORD God is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to…proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God…”

–from Isaiah 61.1-2; (Luke 4.18)

Jesus is Savior because on the Third Day, He took up His life again…

To show that He has overcome the corruption of this world…

To show that He has overcome the power of our own Nasty I-SIN heartTo show that He has overcome the power of Satan (Genesis 3.15)…
